Hero HF Deluxe having i3S launched at Rs 46,630 :- Hero Motocorp, India’s greatest two-wheeler maker, has launched the HF Deluxe commuter motorcycle with i3S technology in India at a price of Rs 46,630 exclusive showroom in Delhi for the self-start version.
The new Hero HF Deluxe commuter motorcycle is based on the company’s i3S technology which stands for ‘ideal start-stop system’. Technically, i3S technology puts the engine to off when the motorcycle is idle in neutral gear. When the rider applies the clutch, the ignition is turned on again and the rider can just use the gear accordingly, thereby, making riding in traffic more convenient and fuel efficient.
The mechanical setup of the Hero HF Deluxe i3S is very similar to the standard HF Deluxe. Powering the HF Deluxe i3S is an identical 92.7cc air-cooled, single cylinder engine. The engine is coupled with a 4-speed gearbox and develops a maximum power of 8.2 bhp at 8,000 revolutions per minute and 8.05 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 revolutions per minute. The engine is also compliant with BS-IV emission norms, which is a mandate now, along with the mandatory AHO (Auto Headlamp On) feature.
The company has also made certain claims about the newly launched motorcycle. One of them is that the new i3S technology makes the motorcycle significantly more fuel efficient. Although there are no such concrete figures related to the mileage of the motorcycle as of now, the commuter with i3S technology is expected to return an impressive figure of 88.5 kms per litres.
